Band-Together is a pilot program through Academy of Music that provides instrumental music instruction for individuals with and without disabilities on traditional band instruments (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, percussion.)

AMC locations in Hampton and Virginia Beach offer monthly screenings of popular movies with modifications for a sensory-sensitive audience. The auditoriums dedicated to the program have their lights up, the sound turned down and audience members are invited to get up and dance, walk, shout or sing!

Dance Haven is a place where kids of all ages, sizes, abilities, differences and ethnicity come together to learn how to dance, sing, minister, perform and to grow in the gifting God has given them. This is a studio where creativity, individuality and self-expression are encouraged. Our goal is to create a safe, positive, happy, modest and age appropriate experience in which all of our students can feel comfortable and free to express themselves.

Five Crow focuses on tested self-defense principles by mixing different martial arts to provide our students the most effective and efficient self-defense training that works under the stress of real world fights. Ages 4+ Kids, Teens, Adults.
Hampton Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Services Therapeutic Recreation division provides specialized services for individuals with disabilities in Hampton. Therapeutic recreation activities may include swimming classes, craft classes, trips, camps, adult programs, special events, and varied offerings every season. Our participant-to-staff ratio is appropriate to the needs of the group.
In addition, we provide accommodations upon request for individuals with disabilities in our general recreation programs. The Therapeutic Recreation staff will work with participants, parents/guardians, and staff to help ensure an enjoyable recreation experience. Advanced notice for any requests for accommodations are welcome.
This state-of-the-art aquatics center provides recreational opportunities for the community with a 50-meter pool, a 25-yard pool and an outdoor splash park. This facility serves two purposes: as a community fitness and wellness center with swimming lessons and as a generator of youth sports travel. The complex offers water safety and first learn-to-swim classes to all Hampton second-grade students. Spring and summer camps available.

Rivermont schools provide a therapeutic educational program for students ages 5-22 in grades kindergarten through 12 with special needs, including those associated with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, and have difficulty learning in a traditional school setting.
