Angelina Ballerina Dances Into Town!

Great news for little ones who love to dance! Angelina Ballerina™, the star of the critically acclaimed story books created by Katharine Holabird and Helen Craig, has arrived in Hampton Roads! The Angelina Ballerina Stars of Tomorrow dance program (AB Stars) is a collaboration between Tidewater Dance Theatre, Inc and HIT Entertainment. The program offers youth ages 3-5 and 6-10 access to a comprehensive dance curriculum at discounted rates while raising community awareness around the benefits of the performing arts for children.

The focus of the AB Stars program is to build confidence, inspire creativity and promote physical health while making dance accessible to all children. The youngest children are exposed to ballet, light tumbling, games, activities and singing while the older children focus on ballet as well as other genres of dance such as jazz, tap, hip hop, Latin or folk dancing. Theater and music round out the curriculum for the older ages and provide a wonderful introduction to the performing arts. At the end of the season, each child receives an official Angelina Ballerina Stars of Tomorrow certificate of completion and participates in a stage performance for friends, family and the public.
