YVCHR Volunteer Project – Rise Against Hunger (Newport News)

Location: Chestnut Memorial United Methodist Church (1024 Harpersville Road, Newport News, VA, 23601)
Details: Youth will help package 20,000 meals for those in need in an assembly line format.
Youth needed: 12-15
Special Considerations: Youth will want to wear comfortable shoes, as there will be lots of standing involved in this project!
Organization being served: Rise Against Hunger coordinates the packing of meal bags for people in poor countries around the world. For many of the children in these countries this may be the one meal they get each day from school or church. Our goal this year is to package 20,000 meals.
