YVCHR Volunteer Project – Clean-Up at Sleepy Hole Park (Suffolk)

April 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am

Help keep our waterways clean!

Details: Youth will be pruning, mulching, identifying the plants (using signs to ID native plants with adult volunteer), clearing pathways, and helping with the learning garden .

Special Considerations: Appropriate clothing and shoes for outdoor work are required. Cleanups usually occur in brushy, thorny, and muddy terrain which require full body protection. Closed-toed, sturdy shoes that can get wet and dirty should be worn for land-based cleanups. Also bring a small bag, water bottle and snack.

Organization being served: Nansemond River Preservation Alliance
