Virginia Children’s Chorus Auditions (Norfolk)

You can audition to join the Virginia Children’s Chorus!

Auditions for the Virginia Children’s Chorus are held in January, June and August.  Our next auditions are June 5, 6 and 10 & August 14, 15 and 19, 2023.  Auditions will be in person with our Artistic Director.  

Singers ages 5 and in or entering kindergarten, through high school are invited to audition.  Click HERE for an audition brochure which explains the audition songs to be prepared in advance for each age level.

Auditions are by appointment only! Contact the VCC office at (757) 440-9100 or [email protected] ahead of the audition dates to schedule your individual time.  Each audition is private and lasts approximately 20 minutes.  Casual, but neat dress is appropriate.  It is best to arrive about 10 minutes before the scheduled audition time.  

Candidates are notified of their acceptance into the chorus and their choir assignment immediately after the audition.  Accepted students will be measured for uniforms and parents will meet with our Executive Director immediately following the audition.  Please be prepared to pay the $50.00 registration fee at this time.  See tuition rates, location information and more on our audition brochure.
