Sounds of Summer Concert Series at Riverwalk Landing (Yorktown)

Join us for an explosive mix of jazz, pop, rock, funk, and R&B as The Uptown Band takes the stage at Riverwalk Landing!  For more than 18 years, this award-winning group has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s most versatile and respected live bands. They’ve performed throughout the East Coast for celebrities, government leaders, professional athletes…and soon YOU! 

Yorktown’s Sounds of Summer concert series runs Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9 p.m. through August 15. We’ve got bands playing beach music, country, jazz, R&B, popular hits, and so much more!

  • July 11 – The Gentlemen & Their Lady
  • July 18 – The Embers

  • August 1 – Band of Oz
  • August 8 – The Deloreans
  • August 15 – Slapnation

Before the entertainment begins, visitors are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy dinner or dessert at any of Historic Yorktown’s waterfront restaurants including Water Street Grille, Carrot Tree, Umi Sushi, Ben & Jerry’s, and Yorktown Pub.

Guests are permitted to bring their own blankets, chairs, and small coolers. No tables, umbrellas, or tents are allowed. There will be a dance floor, friendly games of corn hole, and tasty, to-go meals from rotating food trucks available for purchase. 

Free parking is available at designated public parking lots throughout town, including York Hall, York-Poquoson Courthouse, and County Administration Building. The complimentary, wheelchair-accessible Yorktown Trolley runs from 5 to 9:30 p.m. during every concert with a modified route that still includes some of the stops on the outskirts of town.
