*New location! Scholastic Chess Tournament (Virginia Beach)

Same event, new location! Join Hampton Roads Chess Association at the VBPD Law Enforcement Training Center on Saturday, November 18th for a scholastic chess tournament fundraiser for Title I school chess! All net proceeds from this event will support local Title I school chess programs. Entry fee through 11/15 is $30, then increases to $35. There will be individual and team (school) trophies, and the Virginia Beach Police Department’s Youth Services Division will be onsite and help present awards.
This event is just for kids in Pre-K through 12th grades. There are sections for all abilities from beginners who know the basics to more advanced players. First chess tournament? Our event registration page has link to Zoom videos to give you an introduction!
