Civic Season at Jamestown Settlement (Williamsburg) & the American Revolution Museum (Yorktown)

June 19 - July 4

Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown join museums and historic sites across the country to host Civic Season, a series of civics-related programs and events to engage younger generations in the role of American democracy.

Civic Season is a time to explore your story – and how it connects to U.S. history – through events, activities and resources from credible sources. Civic Season connects high school students, Generation Z (ages 18-30) and millennials with ways to explore the nation’s complex past, take action in the present and shape the future.

In partnership with Made By Us, Civic Season programs aim to celebrate and inform civic engagement among young Americans with the approach of the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026. With 2026 marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, this is the perfect opportunity to lay the groundwork for a meaningful, vibrant commemoration for all.
