Catch and Release Fishing Derby (Virginia Beach)

The only day of the year Lake Sandler is open to public fishing!

FISHING DERBY
Open to all anglers, Lake Sandler will be open to shore-cast fishing for this one special day with largemouth bass, catfish, and blue gills all abundantly available during this catch-and-release event. There will be prizes given every hour for biggest fish in three age groups of 9 and under, 10-55, and 56 and up. There will also be raffle prizes.
Bring your own fishing gear, but there will be bait, lures, snacks, and drinks for purchase. Life vests and lifeguards will be on site, and all children under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult. First cast is at 1PM, with last cast at 3:55PM. Entry fee includes a JCC all-access day pass.
