Synopsis:
Bye Bye Birdie is a delightful and hilarious musical set in the 1960s, following the uproarious story of rock ‘n’ roll heartthrob Conrad Birdie, who is drafted into the army, much to the dismay of his adoring teenage fans. To give him a proper send-off, his manager concocts a publicity stunt where Birdie will give one last kiss to a lucky fan on The Ed Sullivan Show. Chaos ensues as the small town of Sweet Apple, Ohio prepares for Birdie’s arrival. Bye Bye Birdie is a heartwarming and entertaining theatrical experience that celebrates the innocence and excitement of the early rock ‘n’ roll era.
