American Girl Program: Molly McIntire (Suffolk)

May 20 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Ten-year-old “Molly McIntire” lives in Jefferson County, Illinois, during World War II with her parents and older siblings.  Her father is an Army doctor, and Molly is a third grade student at Willow Street School, along with her best friends, Linda and Susan.  They go to an ice cream parlor and are disappointed when they discover it is out of ice cream.  They decide to get cherry cokes instead.  Molly tells her friends about the princess-themed tea party she dreams of having for her birthday, only to learn her family cannot afford it.  Now she begins to understand how war changes people’s lives.

Join us as Riddick’s Folly hosts a Very Special Tea Party for a Very Special Girl.  Come dressed in your Sunday Best Outfit.

Be sure to wear your Hat.  Dressy White Gloves will be provided at the Tea Party – and you get to take them home!
