Get ready college basketball fans, it’s time for the 2024 Portsmouth Invitational Tournament! 64 elite college seniors will compete in a 4-day tournament with NBA scouts & execs watching every move, pass and slam dunk.
What started in 1953 as a city basketball league has now become an annual national sensation. Every year the country’s top college seniors are invited to Portsmouth to compete in front of professional scouts, agents and eager fans.
Sponsored by the NBA with the goal of bringing this unique talent pool to one location, the P.I.T. kicks off the NBA Draft process as pro teams look for the next under-the-radar superstar. Current and former NBA players who are P.I.T. alumni include Jeremy Lin, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, John Stockton, Tim Hardaway and Dan Majerle. Every player at the tournament wants to join this list!
