Ribbon Cutting for a Dream Court™ in Berkley Park (Norfolk)

he City of Norfolk, in partnership with Nancy Lieberman Charities and the Southside Boys and Girls Club, announces the ribbon cutting for a Dream Court™ in Berkley Park (706 Walker Ave.) on Monday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m. An existing city basketball court is now transformed into a Dream Court™, through the generous donations of Wallace and Linda Hailsip, Old Dominion University alumni.

Since the inception of the Dream Court™ program in 2010, more than 100 Dream Courts have been installed across the United States to make basketball more accessible to children and provide an environment for them to play. More than three million youth play on Dream Courts in the U.S., with each court serving approximately 120 youth per day and helping to improve the lives of more than 4.2 million children a year.
