Into the Woods at Patriot Playhouse (Virginia Beach

FC Performing Arts join forces again to bring this collection of reimagined fairy tales to life! One forest. One witch. One storybook world with countless fairytale characters who all have a wish. This modern classic with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine follows a Baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King’s Festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a Witch’s curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse. Everyone’s wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later with disastrous results. And once wishes start being granted, many question if they ever really knew what they wanted. The spring musical is a First Colonial tradition, and INTO THE WOODS will also feature a live pit orchestra of First Colonial band and orchestra students.
