CBF Maintenance Fridays (Hampton Roads Locations)

Over the past several years, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s Hampton Roads Urban Restoration Program has installed 15 green infrastructure projects throughout Hampton Roads, including living shorelines, rain gardens, bioswales, grass buffers, and stormwater wetlands. These projects help reduce polluted stormwater runoff, prevent erosion along shorelines, enhance resilience against climate change, and beautify our communities.
To ensure these projects continue to function properly and maintain their beauty, maintenance is essential. We need volunteers to help with tasks such as pulling weeds, removing invasive species, and laying down mulch or pine straw. Join us every Friday from 9 am to Noon between September 12th and December 5th with a different project being worked on each week. All are welcome! Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
