Featured Camp: Featuring Jesus – Art Camp

This summer, art teacher, Sophia Williams and freelance artist, Alysha Ramirez join forces to host an art camp for kids ages 7-12 years old. Camp will be offered twice this summer- June 26-30th and July 31st – August 4, 2023, and will be held in Norfolk.

The theme of the camp is “Featuring Jesus” and we will dive into the truth about who we are as artists in Christ and who God is as Creator. These devotionals will guide our individual and collaborative projects as artists, as we build confidence and learn to express ideas as a group.

Camp will start at 9:30am and end at 2:30pm and a snack and lunch will be provided. We will explore sketching, painting, sculpture, mural, face painting, and pastels, and the week will end with an art show at a local coffee shop where all their beautiful masterpieces will be displayed.

Artists will not only get a sketchbook, tote bag and t-shirt, but they will walk away boosted in their personal creativity and courage to showcase what God is speaking to them through their art.
