The Teal Pumpkin Project

Do you know a child with food allergies? Chances are you do, whether you’re aware of it or not! Children with food allergies can have a hard time enjoying treats when it comes to birthday parties, holiday events, and even trick-or-treating.

The Teal Pumpkin Project:

FARE’s Teal Pumpkin Project helps make sure all children will come home on Halloween night with something they can enjoy. It just takes one simple act: offering non-food treats, such as glow sticks or small toys, as an alternative to candy.

How to Participate:

Are you interested in offering a candy alternative to your local trick-or-treaters? You can display the teal pumpkin sign (or paint a pumpkin) to let children with food allergies (and their parents) know that your home is offering a safe treat for them. You can also register to put your address on the map of participating locations on the Food Allergy Research & Education website.
