Sensory Playground Opening at Peninsula Town Center

Marys Park Sensory Playground at Peninsula Town Center

Many of you saw when we posted the news on Facebook but just in case you missed it, this is too good not to share!

On Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10am the NEW Sensory Playground in Mary’s Park will open at Peninsula Town Center in Hampton! The playground is being dedicated to the Peninsula School of Autism which plans to use the play space on a regular basis.

All children are welcome to enjoy the play space but there are several specifically designed features for children with sensory needs. The design will facilitate visual, vestibular, tactile, kinesthetic/proprioception, and auditory sensory experiences.

In addition to sensory play there will also be interactive mobile experiences on-site. You can download an app to listen to stories in up to 16 languages, as well as create and save photos of your children and characters from the stories!

Come by on Saturday to check out the new playground, enjoy fun activities, refreshments and a few surprises!
