Local Art Project To Help ForKids

An art project to benefit a wonderful local program? Sounds like a perfect family activity!

This Saturday, and the first 3 Saturdays in August, you can stop by the Glass Studio at The Chrysler Museum and help decorate glass bottles in a way that represents the Hampton Roads area. All ages and craft levels are welcome and all materials will be provided. Just stop by and get crafty!

Your finished artwork will be incorporated into final works of art (created live!) in the Glass Studio, August 19-25th. Brooklyn-based artist John Drury, part of the glass art duo known as CUD, will be assembling the artwork with children from ForKids. The final art will be auctioned off to benefit ForKids, a local non-profit that fights poverty and homelessness for families and children in Hampton Roads.

When: Saturdays: July 2, August 3, 10, & 17, 2013

Where: Chrysler Museum Glass Studio, 745 Duke Street, Norfolk

Cost: Free!
