What: 2017 brings a new experience to the boardwalk as Holiday Lights Merry Mile...a nautical and holiday fantasy of lights spread over a dozen blocks - from 8th Street to 22nd Street. This year's light show will feature over 50 of our most popular, hand-picked displays along the boardwalk and beach.
Cost: $5 per vehicle Friday-Sunday and holidays. $4 per vehicle Monday-Thursday. $2 Military Mondays. $25 motorcoaches. CASH ONLY.

What: The garden is transformed into a winter wonderland where you can enjoy a 2-mile drive through a million sparkling lights bringing the four seasons to life.
Cost: General Admission is $25 Per Car (Monday – Thursday) and $30 Per Car (Friday, Saturday & Sunday). Members receive $5 off nightly. Limo & Multipassenger vans: $50. Specials include Military Appreciation Discount (save $1 any night of the week), City of Norfolk Employees is Monday-Thursday only ($24 per car with current employee ID Monday-Thursday only). What: The town Christmas tree will be lit by Community Honoree to officially kick-off the holiday season. Entertainment will feature local vocalists and bands and a Christmas message given by a local minister. Refreshments will be provided by the Woman’s Club of Smithfield. What: Ghent’s Holiday Open House Weekend starts with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 6:30pm in front of Blair Middle School on Colley Avenue. Join your friends from the Ghent Business Association for a family-friendly event to help spread the holiday spirit throughout Ghent. Enjoy music and caroling from area school groups. Warm up with hot chocolate and cookies. And, there will be a special appearance by Santa Claus as he helps light the tree.

What: Following the Christmas Market on Main, the waterfront will light up with a spectacular community tradition - the Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade! Decorated to display their best holiday spirit—local sail, pleasure, and work boats coast down the York River in a competition for “Best in Show.” There will be complimentary hot cider served by the Boy Scout Troop 123 of Seaford; live music including a performance by the Fifes and Drums of York Town and Yorktown Chorale; and a beach bonfire. As an added safety precaution, families are encouraged to bring flashlights to assist in navigation around town at night.

What: The public is invited to watch from the back deck of the Smithfield Station Marina for a boat decorating contest, annual lighting and complimentary hot chocolate and treats!

Where: on the Downtown Hampton Oceanfront.
What: Cruise into the spirit of the holiday season. More than 20 boats are expected to participate. This highly anticipated parade of illuminated power and sail boats will be visible from anywhere along the Hampton River, however spectators wanting to hear the narration will want to find a spot near the Hampton Maritime Center.
