The Smart Smiles 5K race is a fun family event open to all ages and athletic abilities.  Past participants range in age from 2 to 92 and include parents pushing strollers, and runners and walkers young and old.

Be the reason a child smiles! Each year this race raises funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula’s Smart Smiles at the Dentist Program. 100% of the proceeds go to the 501(c)3 program, which provides dental education as well as dental care to Club members who do not have insurance or cannot otherwise afford to do so.

Appointment scheduling, transportation to and from appointments, and parent communication is all organized by Boys & Girls Clubs staff so that parents do not have to take time off of work to ensure their children visit the dentist. Each year more than 200 children visit the dentist thanks to community members like you!
