Reminder – The 13th Annual LEGO Shipbuilding Event!

It is back for 2024! The Hampton Roads Naval Museum’s annual Brick by Brick: Lego Shipbuilding event will take place at a new location this year in Virginia Beach, and as always is completely FREE!

It is also a great way to inspire some creative building! If your active child/family is interested in the competition portion of the event, it would be a great project to work on during colder days/winter break – especially if you have a lot of new LEGO in your house post-holidays.

Where:  Virginia Beach Sports Center, 1045 19th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451 (next to the Virginia Beach Convention Center)

When:  Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10am to 4pm

Cost: FREE Admission, FREE to participate in all activities including  the shipbuilding contest

Description:  This event will include activities for kids of all ages: a Lego shipbuilding contest (either bring a ship that you built at home or build one on-site), build-a-ship activities with designs made by Hampton Roads Naval Museum staff, crafts, robotics, ship displays, free-play areas for both Lego and Duplo, and much more! A sensory room is also available for families who need some quiet time during the event.
